Safeguarding and Supervision Policy
Eason’s RC is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment at its events, workshops and community activities.
Eason’s RC does not currently use personnel who have undergone an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check specifically for their roles within these activities. We therefore do not provide childcare, personal care or unsupervised supervision.
Anyone under 18 must attend with and remain appropriately supervised by a parent or legal guardian throughout the activity.
Any adult who requires personal assistance, additional support or supervision to participate safely must attend with a responsible carer or support person.
Parents, guardians, carers and support persons must remain present for the duration of the activity and retain responsibility for the conduct, supervision, medical needs and wellbeing of the person in their care.
Eason’s RC staff and volunteers cannot assume responsibility for supervising an attendee or providing one-to-one support. Please contact us before booking if you are unsure whether an activity will be suitable or if reasonable adjustments may be required.
Eason’s RC reserves the right to refuse or end participation where the required supervision is not present or where continued participation would present an unacceptable health, safety or safeguarding risk.
